Suchitra Sebastian becomes first academic staff at the Cavendish to be linked to the Winton Programme
Suchitra's research aims to create novel emergent phases of matter by the synthesis of new correlated materials and their study under a wide range of conditions of applied pressure, magnetic field, and electric field gradient. Her particular interests are in the areas of unconventional superconductors, quantum magnets, and heavy fermion systems.
She has won a number of awards for her work and was recently granted a prestigious five year Starting Grant by the European Research Council (ERC).
