Research
My research is focused on applying modern statistical mechanics to describe transport, mechanical response and thermal properties in various soft matter systems relevant for new sustainable technologies. Recently I produced an analytical model to describe the stochastic breakup and stability of colloidal clusters in shear flow. This has a diverse array of applications, ranging from protein aggregation studies to water-based eco-compatible polymer materials processing. Currently I am researching charge carrier transport in organic semiconductors. I am particularly interested in investigating the intricacies of polycrystalline domain grain boundaries. Understanding such phenomena is vital to the pursuit for cheap, efficient, polymer-based solar cells.
