Research
My research focuses on understanding the interaction of light with metallic nanostructures. In particular, I working on actively controlling resonances in plasmonic nanostructures. Such structures have the potential to confine light in extremely small volumes allowing the fabrication of ultra-compact and fast sensors that can potentially find use in diagnostic and technology applications.
Currently, I am working on a new design to use electronic biasing of individual nanostructures which will allow to manipulate and tune the optical and electronic resonances of plasmonic nanostructures.
