Dr Siân Dutton invited to attend Science and Technology in Society Forum

Dr Siân Dutton has been selected as one of nine scientists to serve in the Science and Technology in Society (STS) Future Leaders initiative.  The STS forum was founded in 2003, with the aim to create a global human network and providing a framework for open discussions regarding the further progress of science and technology for the benefit of humankind.  Siân has been selected from candidates from around the world, and will join the other invited scientists at the STS conference from October 5-8 in Kyoto, Japan.  This will provide an opportunity for Siân to introduce her research and contribute to discussions with other participants from the scientific, political and business communities.

Siân who joined the Cavendish as one of the first Winton Fellows in January 2012, is working on new materials for energy applications, and in particular electrodes for Li-ion batteries.  Further details for Siân can be found via this link to her homepage.
